End-of-Life Care

Compassion, Dignity, and Support—When It Matters Most

Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the most difficult moments a family can face. At Koch Veterinary Services, we are honored to support you through this time with empathy, respect, and thoughtful care—helping ensure your pet’s final moments are peaceful, comfortable, and surrounded by love.

We offer end-of-life consultations and euthanasia services both in the comfort of your home and at our practice, allowing you to choose the setting that feels right for you and your pet.

Gentle Guidance Through Every Step

End-of-life care begins with understanding. Dr. Joanne Koch takes the time to listen to your concerns, assess your pet’s quality of life, and discuss all available options with honesty and compassion. Whether your pet is facing chronic illness, pain, or age-related decline, we are here to help you make informed, loving decisions—without pressure or judgment.

In-Home End-of-Life Care

For many families, the familiarity of home provides comfort during this emotional time. In-home care allows your pet to remain in a peaceful, familiar environment, surrounded by the people they love most. These visits are unhurried and handled with the utmost respect, giving you the space and time you need to say goodbye privately and gently.

In-Office End-of-Life Care

Some families prefer or require an in-practice setting. Our practice provides a calm, quiet space where end-of-life services are performed with the same compassion and attentiveness as our home visits. Whether due to medical needs or personal preference, our team ensures your pet is treated with dignity and care throughout the process.

Focused on Comfort and Peace

Your pet’s comfort is always our priority. We use gentle sedation to ensure they are relaxed and pain-free, allowing for a peaceful passing. Throughout the process, Dr. Koch explains each step clearly and remains present to support both your pet and your family.

Aftercare Support

We can help guide you through aftercare options, including private or communal cremation, and provide resources for grief support if desired. You are not alone—support continues even after your pet’s passing.

A Compassionate Partner in a Difficult Moment

At Koch Veterinary Services, end-of-life care is approached with sensitivity, patience, and respect for the bond you share with your pet. It is our privilege to help provide comfort, reassurance, and peace during one of life’s hardest moments.
